The cover is two-toned with blue on the left and pink, white and blue marble on the right. The cover edges are bumped and the under board is exposed on the cover corners. There is a brown streak on the cover in the lower left corner. There is discoloration of the cloth on the lower backstrip. The back cover matches the front cover. The endpapers are gray. There is a penned message on the back of the frontispiece illustration (pictured). The book was published in larger print (font) for younger readers. The interior pages are white and soft on slick paper with mild tanning throughout and mild foxing throughout. There is an occasional soil stain (one is pictured). Book is shaken. 461 pages, size: 9 3/4 x 6 1/2". Weights ~4 lbs
