There is a carved scene on the the top of the lid with two people, and a floral lotus flower pattern around the side and upper jar rim. The inside of the jar is hard and black. The black paint is chipped along the upper jar rim. The condition of the lid is very good. The base is black and says, China in red letters. There is a very tiny hole in the base. The wooden decorative stand is included. The wooden stand is: 5.5 W x 1.75" T. The date of origination is unknown.
