Tales from Shakespeare by Charles & Mary Lamb. Small blue pocket edition in fair+ condition by Henry Altemus Company, Philadelphia. Copyright 1894. Edited by Rev. Alfred Ainger with introduction and preface sections. This edition is likely scarce as the title is spelled the normal way on the cover and then spelled incorrectly on the title page. Blue cloth cover has significant wear and chipping / rubbing. One the cover and spine. See lower spine for condition. Back cover is good with lots of wear at the spine. Endpapers are white with a signature from a former owner in pen. Hinges are cracked at the title page with thread visible. Interior pages are soft, white with very mild tanning. Illustration of the author opposite the title page is enclosed, but loose. 368 pages, 6 x 4 1/2"

Reveries of a Bachelor by I.K. Marvel. Published by Henry Altemus Co, Philadelphia around 1890 (n.d.). Condition is good. Blue floral cover illustration has some warping and rubbing / wear to cover edges. Gilt cover decoration is faded but present. Section of lower spine missing. Gilt on spine faded. Back cover is similarly decorated with a portion of the blue floral design missing (apprx 1 cm square). White endpapers are clean with some threading visible. Hinge is cracked at decorated pre-title page with threading fully visible. Pre-title page decorated in blue greek type design with red print. Title page is colored with green floral motif with red flowers. Illustration of the author present opposite the title page Book includes a preface section. Interior pages are soft, white and well intact. Large print size was used. 306 pages

Endpapers are white with some mild foxing. B&W illustration opposite the title page. Interior pages are clean, white with very mild tanning. Some discoloration to the beige spine. 389 pages
