The cover is pale green with pink floral decoration and a black and white image. The cover image depicts two children outside with palms in the background. The cover title is gilded. The outer edge of the cover is darkened and the cover corners bend downward. The book leans forward slightly. There is light fraying of the cloth on the upper and lower backstrip. The back cover is decorated with pink flowers. The endpapers are white. The hinge is cracked at a blank pre-title page. The title page and frontispiece are nearly loose together and held on by 1 cm of paper. There is decorative illustration on the Chapter header, and may half-page illustrations throughout. The interior pages are stiff and intact with mild to moderate tanning throughout. 197 pages, size: 6 x 4.15".

The cover is matte pale pink paper wrapped. There is a wax-type spot on the lower cover. The cover corner curls upward. There is paper missing on the upper backstrip. The backstrip antique label is rubbed. The back cover is pink and good. There is a brown spot on the title page near the title. The interior pages are white, lightly textured and intact.
