The upper right cover corner is bumped. There is a scratch on the cover near the lower left corner. The leather on the lower backstrip is fragile, chipped and has small tears. The gilt on the backstrip is bright. The lower back cover corner is bumped with under-board exposed. The endpapers are decorative painted swirled paper (pictured). There is moderate foxing or soiling along the upper title page margin. There is a penned notation on the title page around the decorative emblem. The outer edge of the pages are dyed red. The interior pages are crisp and intact with moderate foxing throughout and mild tanning. There are sections of heavier tanning. The pages are printed in two columns. There is an occasional small dark brown foxing spot. 1071 pages.
