The corners of the cover are bumped with under-board exposed. The backstrip cloth is heavily darkened. The back cover is gray with some areas of soiling. The upper back cover corner is exposed. The hinge is cracked at a blank pre-title page. The black and white frontispiece illustration is of two people with a boat. There is moderate tanning on the title page. The tissue is enclosed. The interior pages are stiff with deckle edges and moderate tanning throughout. 217 pages, 6.65 x 4.35"

"Poems of Sidney Lanier" with a memorial by William Hayes Ward, edited by "his wife". Copyright 1891. Published by Charles Scribner's Sons, New York. The cover is medium gray with a center gilt floral decoration. There are scratches on the upper left corner of the cover. The backstrip is darkened and the gilt title is fading. The back cover is good. There is a signature on the right endpaper in cursive marker. The interior pages are crisp, white and intact throughout. 260 pages, size: 7.5 x 5.15".

There are around four full page, black and white illustrations. The cover title is gilded. The outer edge of the cover is bumped along the marble paper. The back cover matches the front cover. There is a small blue penned signature on the right endpaper. The interior pages are crisp and intact with mild tanning throughout. There are soil swipes from fingerprints on page 82. 93 pages, size: 8.25 x 6.75"
