The backstrip has heavy fading and discoloration. The gilt on the backstrip is fading. There is discoloration to white on the upper and lower backstrip. There are soil spots on the upper right corner of the back cover. The endpapers have a tan floral motif with heavy tanning on the right endpaper. There is an ex-library sticker on the left endpaper. There is light foxing on the title page. The pages are mostly white with mild tanning throughout and occasional light foxing. There is a soil streak pictured on one page. The book has many full and half-page black and white illustrations throughout.
