"Oeuvres de F. Rabelais", 3 Volumes. Published by Louis Janet, Libraire, Paris. Copyright 1828. Sequential volumes 1, 2 and 3. French language. Bright sky blue paper covers with shabby old paper edges. Volume 1 has a green streak along the upper cover page (pictured). The cover is fragile due to a crack in the cover / backstrip connection. Back cover is good with a bend in the upper left corner. Interior pages feel fragile but are intact. Interior pages are soft and white with mild to moderate tanning throughout. Volume 2 has good covers and backstrip with lightly rubbed areas. Cover is firmly attached. Book has a section of very heavy foxing near the front. The remainder of the book is white with mild foxing throughout. Volume 3, cover has a bend in the upper right corner. Portion of the backstrip blue paper is missing in the upper right corner. The paper label has a little darker wear. Back cover is good. Interior pages are white, soft and intact with mild foxing throughout. Pages 615 +580 + 672

Interior pages are white, soft and intact with mild foxing throughout. Heavier foxing near the front of the book and on the title page. Volume 3, binding is split / separated at page 177. Covers and backstrip are good. Moderate foxing on pre-title and title page. Interior pages are soft, white and intact with mild foxing throughout. Volume 4 covers and backstrip are good. Heavy soiling along the outer edge of interior pages. Moderate foxing on the title page. Interior pages are soft, white and intact with mild foxing throughout. Pages 298 +486 +392.
