Cover is a darker brown than pictured with small tears near the lower cover / backstrip connection. There is clear tape on the backstrip. There is a rubbed area of the paper at the upper cover / backstrip connection. The decorative paper on the upper backstrip is missing. Cover may be held on by the clear tape. The back cover is heavily decorated. There is a small 1" vertical tear along the upper back cover. There is a dark penciled inital on a pre-title page. The title page is very fragile. There are two beautiful color illustrations, one on the frontispiece (pictured). The interior pages are crisp, white and intact with mild tanning throughout.
