The book includes three color plate illustrations. The cover is red cloth with a faded gilt title. The cover corners are bumped with under-board exposed. The cover is heavily soiled. The cloth is frayed / split at the cover & backstrip connection. There are blue pen markings on the white goose on the cover. The back cover is plain red and good. The hinge is cracked at the endpapers. There is a penciled message on an endpaper. There is blue tape on the endpapers. The color plate on the frontispiece is loose.
