The Last Days of Pompeii, Pompeiian Edition by Edward Bulwer Lytton (Lord Lytton). Published in two volumes by Estes and Lauriat, Boston around 1900 (no date). Books include red dust jackets. Under covers are red cloth with elaborate gilt decoration. The books include many illustrations with an illustration description on the opposite tissue. The interior pages are crisp, white and intact with mild tanning throughout. The upper edge of interior pages are gilded. Size: 8 1/4 x 5 3/4"
The Sailor Boy by Oliver Optic. Published with an Americana themed cover by Hurst & Company, New York around 1890 (no date). Cover is beige cloth with yellow undertones and bright red and navy blue illustration. There is fraying on the lower backstrip edge. There is light to moderate soiling on the backstrip and back cover. The endpapers are white. The interior pages are soft, white and intact. Book feels slightly shaken. 7 3/8 x 5"
