There is a decorative border around the vase or pot with shading. The painting is signed on the lower right corner. There are pencil markings on the painting. It appears to me that these were sketchings done be the artist in the background and then were painted over, but there are still very visible to the naked eye within a few feet of the painting. There are chips in the paint along the outside on all sides. There is paint missing on the lower right edge. There are divots in the paint on and around the signature. There are moisture spots on the backside of the board that does not seem to have affected the painting.
