Contents include: Women of the Revolution, The Wives of Presidents, Women Leaders in Society, Philanthropic Women, Women Scientists, Women Missionaries, Women Physicians, Women Inventors, and more. The cover cloth is dark purple with several discoloration or soil spots. The gilt on the cover and backstrip is darkened. The upper backstrip has a large area of discoloration. The back cover is purple with several white soil spots. The upper right corner of the back cover is worn with under-board exposed. The upper left corner of back cover is warped downward. The endpapers are white and clean. The interior pages are crisp and intact with moderate tanning throughout and an occasional small foxing spot. The book has many black and white illustrations of women throughout. 730 pages, 8 5/8 x 5 5/8"

The cover is medium gray cloth with purple floral decoration. There is heavier soiling along the upper cover edge. The backstrip has light soiling and gilt. The upper backstrip has discoloration. The back cover is gray with heavy soiling. The endpapers are clean and heavily tanned. The interior pages are soft and intact with heavy tanning throughout. 515 pages, 7 1/4 x 5"

The gilt on the cover and backstrip is darkened and discolored. The back cover is decorated with purple flowers. The endpapers have a green art nouveau style decoration. There is a penned signature on the top of the first title page. The interior pages are soft, white and intact with mild to moderate tanning throughout. There is at least one light pencil notation in the margin. 287 pages + advertising, 6 1/2 x 4 3/8"
