The cover decoration is rubbed in a few areas. The backstrip is faded to a silver / lavender color. The gilt title block is darkened with discoloration areas. The back cover is blue with some bubbling in areas. The lower left corner is crushed. The right endpaper is missing and the book opens to a pre-title page. There is a color illustration on the frontispiece. The interior pages are crisp and mostly white with mild tanning throughout. There are five additional black and white illustrations.
