The covers are somewhat hard with a matte pink speckled cover with orange undertones. The upper edge of the cover on volume 2 is sun-faded. There are original paper labels on the backstrip. The cover is cracked at the lower backstrip corner (~1 inch). The back covers match the front covers. The book opens to the title page which is ornately illustrated. The interior pages are lightly textured with heavy type-weight throughout. The white pages are stiff and mostly white throughout. 393 + 168 pages, size: 8 3/4 x 5 1/4"
