There is visible rubbing / wear on the outer edge of covers, along the backstrip and at the corners. There is handsome dark green marbling on cover boards and endpapers. Leather present on the backstrip with gilt decoration. The interior pages are soft, clean and white. There is a signature of a former owner on a pre-title page of both volumes. The backstrip reads, "British Poets", "Pope I", and "Pope II". 501 total pages, 6 1/2 x 4 1/4"
