The gilt is somewhat bright but toned down. The cover art is good. The decoration on the backstrip is heavily darkened or faded. The back cover is blue. The endpapers are white with a very small bookseller sticker on the left endpaper. There is a section of pages that are loose in a packet together. These loose pages are from the first title page through page 20. All other pages are intact. There is a soil spot on the upper margin of the Preface page and the margin of page 12-13, 15. The pages are crisp and white with mild tanning.
