The white vellum backstrip is darkened with bright gilt decoration. The back cover matches the front cover. The cover warps upward slightly. There is a chip on the left edge of the marbled paper near the center. The endpapers are brightly marbled (pictured). The interior pages are crisp, clean and intact with heavy tanning throughout.
