There is bright gilt decoration on the cover and backstrip. The lower cover corner is lightly bumped with light soiling. The backstrip is good with light cloth discoloration. The back cover is plain red and good. The upper and lower backstrip cloth has wear and small tears. The endpapers are decorated with a brown geometric motif. There is a small blue price stamp on right endpaper (pictured). There is a signature of a former owner on blank pre-title page, dated 1890. The book is tightly bound. The interior pages are crisp, white and well intact with mild to moderate tanning throughout. The red decorative border on the title page is present throughout the book. The rear endpapers are decorated and good.
