The vellum wrapped cover on volume 2 warps upward slightly at the edge. There is one loop on the cover edge of each book. There is string binding at the backstrip / cover connection. There is handwritten script on the backstrip from the period. The back covers are good. There is decorative art on page 1 at the chapter header. The interior pages are stiff, white and intact. The books were published in larger print (font size). There is occasional light foxing in volume 2 and heavier tanning in the back. 364 + 344 pages, size: 7 7/8 x 6 1/2"
