The backstrip labels are darkened / soiled. The back covers on Volume 2 and 3 are good. Volume 1: The cover is a titled (pre-title) page with heavy foxing. The back cover on Volume 1 is missing. The outer edge of the pages are soiled and shabby. The interior pages are intact and the condition varies from mostly white, to moderate tanning with foxing, and there are sections of very heavy tanning. Some of the foxing spots are large throughout. 539 pages
Volume II: The binding is split in the middle on Volume II and is held on by a string. There is moderate foxing on the title page. The interior pages are mostly white with light to moderate foxing throughout. There are some large foxing spots throughout. 576 pages. Volume III: The cover has a 1" horizontal tear on the outer edge and curling on the upper right corner. There is moderate foxing on the title page.
