Cover cover has a gold decorative border. There are heavily rubbed areas along the backstrip / cover connection. The cover corners have under-board exposed. The binding is splitting at the upper backstrip. There is bright gilt decoration on the backstrip. The back cover is good. The endpapers are decorated with a blue marble motif. The book title is "Etudes de la Nature" and has around seven (7) black and white illustrations of plants in the back-half of the book.
