The cover paper is lightly pulled up at the lower cover and backstrip connection. The outer edge of the pages are gilded on three sides. There is a pretty calligraphy written note on the left endpaper. There is a beautiful black and white illustration of an angel and a little child on the frontispiece. The tissue is present and it is pink in color. The chapter header is decorated. The pages are crisp and white throughout. There is a tiny, faint soil spot in the margin on pages 278-281.
