"The Poetical Works of Jean Ingelow" with "The Sheperd Lady & Other Poems". Published by R. Worthington, NY around 1890 (no date). The cover is in art nouveau style with a bright gilt title block. There are several full-page black and white illustrations throughout. The cover is olive green cloth with brown decoration. The backstrip is decorated with gilt and art nouveau style lines. The gilt on title block is fading. There is wear and chipping on the upper and lower backstrip. The back cover is plain green with light fingerprints. The endpapers are decorated with a floral motif. There is a rubbed area the lower right endpaper. There is an illustration of the author on the frontispiece. The title page has mild tanning and a red decorative border. There is heavy foxing on the Contents page. The interior pages are soft with mild to moderate tanning throughout. There are occasional foxing spots throughout. The outer edge of interior pages are gilded. There are heavy pencil marks in the margin on page 427. There is a soil spot the rear endpapers. The foxing varies from mild to moderate throughout. 492 pages, size: 7 1/2 x 5 1/8"

The endpapers are mildly tanned with a penned signature. There is an illustration of a boat fisherman on the frontispiece. The tissue is enclosed.
