Line Upon Line by Favell Lee Mortimer, "Or a Second Series of The Earliest Religious Instruction...". Published by Henry Altemus Company, Philadelphia around 1895 (n.d.). White cloth cover has heavy gilt decoration in the shape of a large cross. Cover has soiling particularly noticeable on the cover title. Cover corners bend downward. Gilt on the spine is darkened with a soil spot at the upper spine. Light shelf-wear on the lower spine. Back cover is white with soiling and two light brown spots. Eps are white with poor penciled christmas message from a former owner. Black and white illustration of "Noah leaving the Ark" on frontispiece. Title page has mild tanning and light soiling in the right margin. Interior pages are soft, white and well intact with an occasional small foxing spot on the front few pages. Rear eps are clean and white. 189 pages, 6 1/4 x 4 3/8"

Flower of the Dusk by Myrtle Reed. Published by G.P. Putnam's Sons, New York, The Knickerbocker Press. Copyright 1909. Lavender cloth cover has a white flower and heavy gilt decoration. Light soiling along the right edge. Upper right cover corner bends downward. The spine has light soiling on the lower half. Back cover is purple with a superficial scratch (center). Eps are white with a penned signature covered in black marker (left eps edge). Black marker mark also on white pre-title pages. Color plate illustration on frontispiece with tissue present. Interior pages are soft, white and well intact. There is a small light foxing spot on a few of the early pages. Rear eps are clean and white. 341 pages, 8 1/8 x 5 5/8"

Book slants forward slightly. Gilt title is bright on the spine. Back cover is blue and good. Light discoloration along upper edge of back cover. Eps are clean and white. Photograph of Birket Foster on frontispiece. Interior pages are full of both black and white, and color plate illustrations throughout. Interior pages are crisp, white and well intact. Pg. 69 has a textured glue type line diagonally from the upper right corner. Rear eps are clean and white. 216 pages, 9 x 7"
