Published by Tours, A Mame Et, Imprimeurs Libraires. Copyright 1858. From "Bibliotheque des Ecoles Chretiennes" (Christian School Library). Published in French Language. Cover features seafoam green and gold detail with a country outdoor color illustration. The book has a dark spot that has effected the texture and gilt on the cover in the lower left cover. Cover corners bend down slightly. Some darkening / soiling on the cover. Some fading and darkening on the spine. Back cover is decorated (pictured). Endpapers are clean with heavy tanning. Tissue present opposite black and white illustration on the frontispiece. Light foxing present on the title page. Dark foxing along most interior pages on the upper page edge. Interior pages are otherwise clean, white and well intact. Rear eps are clean with heavy tanning. 187 pages, 7 1/2 x 4 1/4"

Gilt is bright. Back cover is plain green and good. Eps are clean and white with mild tanning. Mild tanning on pre-title pages. Heavy tanning on title page from tissue. Illustration of Goethe on frontispiece. Interior pages are clean, white and well intact with mild tanning throughout. Rear eps are clean with moderate foxing. 191 pages, 5 1/4 x 4 1/8"

Dark forest green cover with small gilt emblem on the cover and heavy gilt decoration on the spine. Book slants forward slightly. Back cover is dark green and very good. Eps are decorated with gray leaf motif and a private collection sticker. Black and white war illustration on frontispiece. Tissue present and is white. Red title on the title page. Interior pages are soft, white, clean and well intact. 361 pages, 7 1/2 x 5 1/4"
