Favorite Poems Selected From English and American Authors. Published by Thomas Y Crowell Company around 1885 (no date). The cover is dark brown cloth with black embossed decoration and gilt. The book leans forward slightly. There is discoloration on the lower left cover corner. The back cover is plain brown and good. The endpapers are clean with moderate tanning. The outer edge of interior pages are gilded. The interior pages have a red decorative border throughout. There are at least six full page black and white illustrations throughout. There are decorative lines or small illustrations between the poem headings. 456 pages, 7 3/8 x 5 1/4"

Cruikshank's Water Colours with Introduction by Joseph Greggo. Published by A.C. Black, London. Printed copyright November, 1903. Contents include Introduction, Oliver Twist, the Miser's Daughter, and History of the Irish Rebellion in 1798 and Emmett's Insurrection in 1803. The book is full of color illustrations on slick paper throughout. The cover is dark brown with a light brown wreath and gilt title. The book leans forward. The lower right cover corner is bumped with a small white streak. There is fraying or a few small puncture holes in the backstrip. There is a small tear in the cloth on the upper backstrip. The backstrip title is bright gilt. The back cover is dark brown with a white spot (center). The endpapers are white with light foxing. There is soiling in the gutter of the title page. There is a detailed illustration of an "Oliver Twist" title on the frontispiece. There is foxing on the outer edge of the interior pages. The hinge is cracked at page 257. Pages 257-258 are loose and enclosed. Those pages have very heavy foxing. There is heavy foxing on the rear endpapers. 326 pages, 9 x 6 3/4"

The Fireside University for Home Circle Study and Entertainment with Complete Indexes by John McGovern. Published by Union Publishing House, Chicago. Printed copyright 1905. The cover is textured and dark brown with faded gilt decoration. Gilt on the backstrip is no longer present. The back cover is dark brown with a pressed center emblem. The endpapers are green and white decorative paper. The interior pages are crisp, white and intact with many black and white full page and half-page illustrations throughout. The outer edge of the interior pages have decorative marbling. 543 pages + Index, 8 1/4 x 6 3/8 x 2 1/4"
