Great Expectations by Charles Dickens ,The Uncommercial Traveller and Sketches of Young Couples. Published by Thomas Y Crowell, New York around 1890 (no date). The cover is brown with an embossed title, "Dickens' Works". There is a black spot on the lower cover edge. There is shelf-wear and small tears on the upper and lower backstrip. The back cover is brown and good. The title page is fragile and only connected by one-inch. The interior pages are soft and intact with heavy tanning throughout. There are several full page black and white illustrations throughout. 825 pages, 7 1/2 x 5 1/4'
Oliver Twist, Pictures from Italy and American Notes by Charles Dickens. Published by Hurst & Company around 1890. The cover is plain brown with a discoloration spot in the upper right corner. There is rubbed gilt on the backstrip. There is cloth missing on the upper and lower backstrip. The back cover good. The cloth is split at the lower back cover / backstrip connection. The cover is fully pulled away from the inner spine when opened. There is a penned signature on the right endpaper. A section of pages from the right endpaper through the title page are loose together. The title page is fragile and very heavily tanned. There is a frontispiece illustration. The interior pages are soft but very heavily tanned (browned) throughout. Size: 7 1/2 x 5 1/8"
