The cover is gray with gilt decorative lines and a red cross in the center. There is soiling along the outer edge of the cover. The upper right cover corner is bumped. The upper and lower backstrip has shelf wear with frayed cloth. The backstrip cloth and gilt decoration is darkened and difficult to see. The back cover is plan gray and good. The endpapers are white with a penned signature on the right endpaper. There is an illustration of Charles Dickens on the frontispiece. The frontispiece is detached with the tissue attached. The title page is attached with decorative red print. There are a few sections of very heavy foxing in the introduction. Most of the book has very mild tanning. There is heavier foxing and tanning around the illustrations and their slick paper. 300 pages, size: 7.85 x 5.35"
