Cover is brown / gray with blue marbling. Both covers are very good. Backstrip paper has wear and fraying with paper missing on the lower backstrip. Old paper labels are intact. The back cover of Volume 1 is fragile due to a crack on the backstrip. The upper left corner bends upward. The back cover of Volume 2 is good with the lower left corner curled upward. Interior pages are soft, white and intact with mild foxing on the outer edge of interior pages. Books open to title page. 506 + 482 pages, 9 1/4 x 6 1/4"
