The gilt on the cover is darkened. The cover corners are bumped with under-board exposed. The cloth on the upper and lower backstrip is fraying and chipped. The back cover is decorated with embossed leaves. The cloth at the lower backstrip and back cover connection is pulling away. The endpapers are beige. There is dark water stain along the lower edge of the frontispiece illustration. The enclosed tissue darkened the title page. There is a red decorative border on the interior pages. The outer edge of the interior pages are gilded. The interior pages are crisp and intact with moderate tanning throughout. The hinge at the back cover is cracked with webbing exposed. 560 pages, size: 7.35 x 5.25"

Putnam's Sons, New York and The Knickerbocker Press (no date). The cover is two-toned in navy with gilt and floral decoration. There is a rubbed area on the lower floral area and the outer edge of the cover is bumped. There is a large piece of cloth missing at the upper backstrip and back cover connection. The back cover matches the front cover. There is a private collection sticker on the left endpaper. The title page is moderately tanned. The interior pages are stiff and intact with moderate tanning throughout. 265 pages, size: 5.5 x 3.75"
