The cover is dark bold blue with texture. The cover corners bend downward and are lightly bumped. The backstrip gilt decoration is bright. There is heavy wear on the upper and lower backstrip with chipping. The back cover is good with textured decoration matching the front cover. There is heavy foxing on a pre-title page and on the frontispiece illustration. The tissue is enclosed opposite the title page. The title page has discoloration around the tissue. The interior pages are crisp and white with moderate tanning throughout. The interior pages have occasional small moisture spot or light foxing.
