The cover is a very dark purple with gilt decoration. There are discoloration spots on the cover. There is a bright gilt title block on the backstrip. There is fraying and other shelf wear on the upper and lower backstrip. The back cover is good with some small areas of discoloration. The endpapers are tanned. There is an illustration of the author on the frontispiece. The tissue is enclosed. The interior pages are stiff and intact with moderate tanning throughout. There is an occasional page that is very heavily tanned. There are many illustrations of women in action and also headshots. 722 pages + index.
