The cover leans forward slightly. There is a light cup ring on the left side of the cover (center). There is some discoloration of the cloth along the outer edge. The lower right cover corner is bumped. The backstrip is lightened and tanned. There are tears in the cloth on each upper and lower corner of the backstrip. There is a dark brown spot on the lower backstrip. The back cover is a dark purple with discoloration along the upper edge. There is a white spot along the left back cover. The endpapers are dark and good. The title page and frontispiece have light foxing. The outer edge of the pages are gilded. The interior pages are crisp with mild tanning throughout. There are at least three black and white illustrations.
